This Privacy Policy explains what information Puget Pages ("we," "us," or "our") collects through pugetpages.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text).
Business Listing information. When you create a Listing, we collect the information you submit about your business: name, category, description, location, phone number, address, website and social profile links, logo image, and — if you choose to submit one for verification — your Washington Unified Business Identifier (UBI).
Visitor inquiries. When someone contacts a business through a Listing's message form, we collect the name, contact information, and message they submit, and store it so the business owner can view it.
Listing reports. Anyone can report a Listing as suspicious or fraudulent without an account. We collect the reason selected, any details or contact information voluntarily provided, and route it to our staff for manual review — the reported business never sees the report or who submitted it.
Usage information. We record basic visit information when a Listing page is viewed (a timestamp and which Listing was viewed) so business owners can see how many people have visited their page. For the inquiry and report forms specifically, we also log the submitter's IP address, used only to prevent spam and abuse of those forms. We don't track visitors across other websites, and we don't sell this or any other data.
Information you add to a published Listing — business name, category, description, location, contact details, and logo — is public and viewable by anyone who visits the Service, and may appear in search engine results or social media link previews. Your account email and password are never shown publicly. Messages submitted through a Listing's inquiry form are visible only to that business's owner and our staff, not to the public.
We don't sell your personal information. We share information only with:
We keep account and Listing information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we'll delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep it longer for legal or legitimate business record-keeping purposes. Inquiry messages are retained until the receiving business owner deletes them or closes their account.
You can review and update your Listing information at any time from your dashboard. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. We'll respond within a reasonable time, though some information may need to be retained as described in Section 5.
We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls that restrict who can view account and business data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
The Service is intended for business owners and the general public and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
